Logo design and branding for Norwich based offices
Creative Giant has been busy this summer working on the logo design and branding for The Union Building, the newly developed offices about to open on Rose Lane in Norwich.
The 70,000 sq foot property and former headquarters for Aviva has been redeveloped and immaculately refurbished into office and studio space boasting panoramic views over the city, and Norwich’s first Rooftop Bar & Restaurant!
Creative Giant was tasked with the challenge of creating a prestigious brand for The Union Building while echoing the era of the original offices. Having already suggested the name for the building based on the previous tenant, the formally named Norwich Union, we got straight to business with a strategy that explored all the visual opportunities the 1970s had to offer, soon proposing a number of ideas and design options for logos and supporting graphics.
The finished logo design and branding, along with the supporting design assets, all celebrate the era of the 70s while delivering a modern edge and sophisticated look and feel. We’ve played around with geometric shapes, heavily evocative of the era and perfect for this branding exercise, along with appropriate typography, colour and images which all walk the line between both decades.
We can’t wait to reveal more of how the brand is being implemented, but for now here’s a quick teaser of the logo design and the already mentioned holding page.
Photography is by Rob Yeatman at Eastern Lightcraft, more of which will follow as we progress with the branding.
