Branding and packaging
The Meat Merchants offering is a brand new, premium bar snacking meat product aimed at the craft beer drinker. We’ve been working on the logo design, branding and packaging, along with the label design for a couple of months now and have been eager get it out there and show you guys. Launched yesterday at the Norwich Beer Festival (see our blog entry for more info).
For too long now the offering in pubs when it comes to a quick snack has been a bag of crisps, some pork scratchings or nuts, these guys plan to change all of that with their premium meat snacks that delivers full on flavour and compliments the beer too.
After a few good meetings with the client to thrash out a brief and a name everyone was happy with, we got to work on creating a platform for the brand to grow from. The Meat Merchants fits perfectly, the meats are sourced from various countries in order to deliver authentic flavours, and as the product range grows the brand allows room for these additions to slot in. Not only that, but drawing inspiration visually from the whole exploration and adventure that comes with international travel, crossed with the merchants theme, visually there is loads we can work with and throw at this.
So far we’ve designed the logo and some work in progress packaging designs for the beta launch. We’re looking forward to getting stuck into some social media campaigns, along with some more traditional advertising and plenty of point of sale.
